Trouble Coffee
4033 Judah St, San Francisco, CA 94122, USA

Editor's Review
If San Francisco coffee shops reflect the rapid transition to a tech hub that seems to have erased the weird soul of the city, Trouble Coffee is keeping it alive at three locations in the Bay Area.
The original Ocean Beach location is about as hole-in-the-wall as it gets. The self proclaimed "No Tech Zone" is a distressed, surfer-friendly labor of love from owner Giulietta Carrelli that is actively giving a middle finger to clean and modern shops all over the city. It's small and cluttered, but the shop's identity is immediately evident as you approach it and is reflected in a friendly and unfussy staff. If the coffee doesn't exactly push boundaries, it is certainly reliable and served lovingly with the aim of serving and cultivating a community in San Francisco.
Also, just know you've done it wrong if you've left without having that very simple but perfectly executed cinnamon toast that has received national news coverage.
