TINMAN Berlin
Alte Schönhauser Str. 2, 10119 Berlin, Germany
Editor's Review
TINMAN is a nice surprise for any of the hostel's guests (though it's run as a separate business) or for anyone who has no other need than coffee. The two owners - Justin Scalzi (originally from Australia) and Harry Foster (originally from the UK) - behind this new bar in Mitte make sure this happens – there's an excellent brunch and lunch served too and their deli counter will get very popular indeed.
This new spot on Torstrasse / Schönhauser Allee is further proof that the once dead zone in Mitte is slowly becoming more lively and drawing a younger and hipper crowd. The open plan between the hostel foyer, bar and cafe is breezy in the summer with plenty of outside seating, and cozy in the colder months with plenty of people-watching to entertain you.
