Sey Coffee
18 Grattan St, Brooklyn, NY 11206, USA
Editor's Review
Out of the forklift lowrise landscape that is this industrial part of Bushwick has come a new generation of chic, and within it, of course, a handful of exciting new spaces for coffee. Among the best is Sey, who have been roasting (under their former name, Lofted) for a few years just a few blocks from this spacious, bright, dropped-out-of-LA converted warehouse space, which currently gleams with both sunbeams and beautiful people.
Enjoy the house roasts here – considered some of the finest of the city's Scandinavian-influenced, delicately treated single origin coffees – and enjoy the environment just as much, as the front of the store rolls up to let in the light, air, and cool people of this Morgantown enclave. A very small selection of treats from L'imprimerie is on offer, but don't be distracted – Sey's own lovely coffees (as well as planned guest roasters from around the world) are the attention-getters here. And what a lovely venue in which to enjoy them.
