Ritual’s expansive Mission café is the roaster-retailer’s flagship café location and original roasting operation. The company, founded in 2005, and was one of several early roasters to introduce specialty coffee to the Bay Area. It now operates a number of cafés around the region and takes pride in collaborating with local companies and artists.

In its newest interior renovation, the café opens its space with a long, angled espresso and brew bar down the right side. During busy times, you’ll see a line out the door, two registers running, and both of their powder-coated Synesso Hydras running at high speed. Overhead, you’ll find sweeping strands of their rope light installation.

Settling in the back of the café allows you the serenity from their back garden, which you can look at but not touch.  Ritual is often listed as a must-stop for coffee connoisseurs and professionals alike.
