République of Coffee is brilliantly situated just off La Place de la République on the borders of the 3rd and 10th arrondissement and well connected by public transport. The venue itself is spacious, bright, with high ceilings and a vibrant neon sign that speaks of a modern approach to coffee. République of Coffee serves a variety of French roasters, including Placid, Lomi, Victoire, and KB, and opened in the autumn of 2016, but has already established a strong and deserved reputation.

There is a covered seating area on the street in a classically Parisian style and plenty of table seating inside. The place is clearly a popular hang-out for tourists and the students that live nearby, and it's only a short walk from the trendy, interesting area of the 10th. This is also one of the best places to visit if you want to buy beans that give a sense of what French roasters, epecially locally Parisian ones, are up to, as it has a wide and interesting selection.
