Peter's Field
362 2nd Ave, New York, NY 10010
Editor's Review
A cafe of well-prepared and to-the-point coffees are served with a smile in this clean & cute Stuy Town oasis sits right next to Peter's Field, where you can also mosey on over to Stuyvesant Park to watch a game or lie in the grass with a cold brew. A cozy mix of drawings and paintings provided by local artists decorate the café with familiarity, along with a condiment bar of graffiti and scribblings where people have left their mark. A small table of toys and books for the little ones makes this a family-friendly space as well.
A simple menu of hot and cold drinks feature beans from Unity coffee, a descendent of the former Pushcart brand, to which this cafe is somehow still related. Non-dairy alternatives include here soy and almond milk. A grab-and-go fridge provides juices, yogurts, and kombucha to go, while a small menu of hearty peanut butter or avocado toasts and Colson Patisseries are served from behind the bar. Peter's Field is essentially a no-frills joint to caffeinate in.
