Playground Coffee House
45 St Nicholas St, Bristol BS1 1TP, UK
Editor's Review
Hidden away on St Nicholas Street is a gem of a coffee shop. Playground, as its name suggests, is a fun place to drink coffee. There are swing seats to reminisce about your child hood on and a toilet door similar to something out of Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory. It’s hard not to feel like you’re in Berlin or another funky European city.
Though Playground wants you to feel the fun element when you’re there, it’s serious about coffee. It uses Colonna as its house roaster and the coffee is fantastically made with milk heated to the perfect temperature.
Other products are taken equally as sincerely; the hot chocolate is made in house with Peruvian chocolate and the chai tea is also a homemade blend. Playground is most definitely worth a visit both for Bristolians and guests of the city.
