Odin Cafe + Bar
514 King St E, Toronto, ON M5A 1M1, Canada
Editor's Review
Odin has followed the tradition of its Corktown environs by serving a wonderful assortment of coffee and food items by day, then transitioning into a fully licensed venue for beer and wine at night.
Although the area has very old roots, Odin itself is inspired by modern design. Striking visuals cover every aspect of the space with a clear Scandinavian influence. The furniture, chairs, tables, shelves, and bar are all pieces of geometric art. Slats of wood hang from the ceiling to hide the industrial piping above and draw you deeper into the room. A beautiful mural on the far wall confirms that the eye was as important of a consideration to these owners as the tastebuds.
Coffee from Pilot Coffee Roasters is served from a Modbar, which is no surprise from this design-focused shop. The daily food menu is diverse, as they have partnered with local businesses to provide a selection of sandwiches, salads and snacks. The beer and wine are also locally sourced and there is a list of cocktails available from their fully stocked bar.
