Monmouth's Covent Garden cafe is where it all began for the London coffee movement. It was here in the late 1970s that Monmouth began roasting, changing the way we drink and think about coffee in London today. The debt we owe to Monmouth for their sourcing and roasting techniques cannot be overstated.

Today, the Monmouth street venue is a busy little cafe filled with locals and tourists, sitting in or buying beans.

Always fun for a visit, Monmouth sells their beans and baked goods in the front of the shop and has a small cafe area in the rear. Tall wooden booths are communal, and everyone is happy to be here - especially the staff, it always seems. The Covent Garden cafe consistently serves excellent coffee.
