Mercury is one of Toronto’s original specialty cafés. Opening in 2006 in Leslieville, this staple of the neighbourhood has been ingrained in the community for over a decade. With a focus on partnering with socially conscious coffee suppliers, their list of coffee roasteries over the years is a laundry list of some of the world's best. The selection changes frequently, but you will see names like George Howell, La Cabra, Onyx, Structure and Monogram to name a few. And taking their partnerships a step further, Mercury created their own espresso blend in collaboration with 49^th Parallel Coffee Roasters. 

The café fits their reputation perfectly. Their corner location and recognizable front façade hasn’t changed very much over the years, except for maybe a couple coats of paint. Whether sitting at the window inside or out on the patio in the summer, one of the best places in the city for a cup of coffee also has some of the city’s best people -watching.
