Marmadukes Cafe Deli
22 Norfolk Row, Sheffield S1 2PA, UK
Editor's Review
Marmaduke’s Café is situated right in the heart of Sheffield city centre, just a short walk from the City’s Cathedral and The Crucible. It is tucked away on Norfolk Row, so it is also away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre, but with all the advantages of accessibility. The venue is neatly split across two and a half floors, with the half being a cosy enclave perfect for quiet laptop work and coffee. It also has a huge wall display explaining the art of coffee making, real catnip for coffee enthusiasts, detailing how their different brew methods are formulated.
The ground and top floor offer more of a lively open plan café environment, with a huge selection of fresh pastries and bespoke cakes to match the coffee. Their brunch/lunch menu serves as a nod to local tradition and new to new ideas, with Derbyshire oat cakes served with Yorkshire ham and cheddar cheese amongst the offering, alongside scotch pancakes and ‘campfire beans’.
