Manchester Press
8 Rankins Ln, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia
Editor's Review
Disguised along the all brick and art covered laneway, the former printing press building can be identified by either multitudes of people waiting outside or the contrasting plants and ceramics laying upon the window sills. Look for the MP sign and arrow. Inside, the warehouse maintains a rustic, industrial brightened by colourful artwork and greenery balancing out the wood and white.
Laneways and alleys get mentioned a lot in Melbourne's café and hospitality culture; they are often stacked with gems waiting to be discovered. That moment when you venture into, and find yourself in awe of, such an establishment; somewhere you can take visitors and locals alike to showcase a discovery in the Central Business District. Manchester Press is truly a staple of such.
Now serving ONA coffee, quality is in the cup and bestowed upon you as espresso, and rotating filter options along with single origin for blacks by the talented baristas. All the notes described are evident. A delightful food menu entails, with bagels the main attraction.
