LOMI
3 ter Rue Marcadet, 75018 Paris, France
Editor's Review
Just a fifteen minute walk north of Gare du Nord, Lomi is a stylish and relaxed cafe and roastery that serves its own blends, roasted in-house. Slightly off the beaten track, it's clearly a cafe much-loved by locals, who can be seen tapping away on laptops or enjoying the laid-back atmosphere.
The cafe's interior is livened up with art-work from local artists that occupies most of one wall; the rest of the venue displays exposed piping and concrete, metal stanchions, and thick timber flooring. There is plenty of seating, both indoor and out, though if you are working on a laptop the venue politely asks that you take a space on the large, shared table nearest the door.
Food is largely restricted to an appetising selection of cakes and pastries, though there is a limited lunch menu available.
Lomi also offers a coffee school teaching the modules of the SCAE Coffee Diploma system in French and English, and the staff were friendly and informative.
