Little Skips
941 Willoughby Ave., Brooklyn, NY 11221
Editor's Review
In what's become an international sea of sterile, snobby, cookie-cutter cafes hides Little Skips, a warm, posi-vibes cafe on the slightly tucked-back corner of Willoughby and Myrtle under the clattering M train. Serving high quality brews by Counter Culture as well as a range of teas and hot cooked sammies (try the vegan BLT), Little Skips is not your average NYC cafe by any stretch, and for that reason it's wonderful.
Vibrant inside and out – local artists update the exterior mural from time to time – this space warms the heart, from the orange glow of the cozy walls to the food & drinks & energy within. Art exhibits rotate, and the clientele is mostly younger, but includes folks here to work as well as socialize (note that the WiFi is turned off on the weekends) and the mix is decidedly diverse and LGBTIQ-inclusive.
Expect to find delicious vegan and gluten-free items on the menu (but no decaf!) and feel free to opt for almond or oat milks if you don't partake of the cow. But most of all, expect to have a welcoming and delicious coffee time at Little Skips.
