La Fontaine de Belleville

Parisian roasters Belleville will be a familiar name to anyone who visits cafés in Paris regularly, as you can find their coffee across the city. La Fontaine is their café in the 10th, but it's far from the sort of trendy venue usually associated with third wave coffee. Indeed, La Fontaine resembles nothing so much as an old-school Parisian café, serving noisettes and café cremes, but made with high quality, speciality coffee. 

It's a charming spot, with the quintessential look and feel of a Parisian café, tables arranged outside facing outwards, wooden floors, and a bar backed by a large mirror. There's a small range of pastries, of course, and the coffee is good but, more than anything, this is a place to plot up outside, watch the world go by, and sink into la vie Parisienne.
