The first permanent Joe location to cross the East River into Brooklyn, this spacious, sunny corner is a departure from Joe's well-loved Manhattan outposts. It's got room to spare – even a bathroom and a baby change, and a ratcheted-up menu of treats (homemade marshmallows and artisan ice creams to name but a few) – making it well-equipped for the very family-friendly, well-heeled Brooklyn Heights crowd they service.

For coffee, enjoy one of Joe's steady blends or a seasonal single origin, all roasted just down the Brooklyn coastline in Red Hook. And if you're not among the stroller set, you'll find plenty of room here to work, or to sit outside on the iconic Joe-style front benches and people-watch. A welcome addition to a part of the borough that should have been a no-brainer for a great coffee shop, but had to wait a very long time.
