House of Morocco
82 Caledonian Rd, Kings Cross, London N1 9DN, UK
Editor's Review
Caledonian Road in Kings Cross was an area in need of a neighbourhood coffeeshop. With the closure of Pattern Coffee and Lanark Kings Cross, the caffeine void has been filled by the charm of Hom Coffee from House of Morocco. Initially a company selling Moroccan furnishings, rugs and homeware, they have opened up here on the former site of Pattern, offering a café with neat Moroccan touches to the speciality coffeeshop. Alongside espresso based drinks from Terrone and Co, there is Moroccan mint tea and a range of tasty Moroccan pastries and savoury foods such as Moroccan amlou almond butter.
The space is decorated with Moroccan rugs, and storage pots and tagines for sale. Service is especially lovely, take their advice on what to order. HoM Coffee plan to start running community events. It’s a delightful space with a range of seating options and a great space to meet with friends and catch up. Coffee is improving on every visit. Milk is from The Estate Dairy. You have to see their delightful fez based loyalty cards and taste food from their menu.
