Early Bird has established itself as a top coffee brand in Toronto (furthered their success and reputation with a second location in the city’s underground PATH network.)

Here at their inaugural cafe, the coffee program is on full display with a retail wall jam-packed with beans from multiple roasteries and a bar housing their La Marzocco Strada and a Modbar set up for pour-overs. But what truly takes them to the next level of Toronto coffee are the things that you don’t see. If you were in and out to grab a quick coffee, you would completely miss their extensive and impressive food program and the upstairs outdoor patio best enjoyed in the warm summer months.

Pastries and other small bites are visible in their service area, but the real magic happens in the back of house. You can have your choice of deliciously prepared classics like avocado toast or eggs benny, but ask some Queen West locals and they will lead you towards favourites like the Chia Pudding Bowl. The presentation of the food is as beautiful as the presentation of the café itself, so if you are stuck waiting for a table on weekends when they convert to a brunch spot, catch one glimpse of your surroundings and you will be happy to wait your turn.
