The owners of Boxcar Social have made it a priority to choose specific locations around the city when they are looking to expand.  They particularly want to find spaces and neighbourhoods with character. The Riverside location couldn’t exemplify this any better. On a beautiful strip of Queen Street East that is full of charm, Boxcar lives in a stunning open space with a twenty foot ceiling, exposed brick, and a huge shelving unit that climbs behind the bar. A large street art inspired mural covers the far wall and contributes to the many visuals to take in while sitting in the mostly high top seating in the center of the room.

A large chalkboard menu dominates the area behind the counter listing the details of their coffee, food, beer, wine and whiskey programs. Wrapping around the corner, this portion of the bar houses their beer taps and a wall of bottles and glassware. Greenery hangs amongst the choice selections of wines and whiskeys that rotate regularly.
