Blue Bottle Coffee — Williamsburg
160 Berry Street, Brooklyn, NY
Editor's Review
Originally launched in Oakland, California, Blue Bottle has been roasting and serving high-end coffee creations all over New York City, starting with this spot on Berry Street in Williamsburg, since 2010. This large minimalist space is still largely dedicated to roasting and packaging, but it's a nice spot to grab a coffee nonetheless, especially if you are a fan of coffee culture, and the cafe has an airy, welcoming vibe. There are several large communal tables, and a small but delicious selection of housemade sweets and fresh made Belgian-style liège waffles, but Blue Bottle is truly a temple to roasting.
Work your way through their various single-origin espresso options, sourced from across Africa and South America, enjoy a cold brew in summer, and while you are here, grab a bag of just-roasted beans or one of their various packaged cold brew options to take home. They make their own coffee-flavored chocolate bars too, and you can pick up brewing equipment and other gear for the serious coffee fanatic.
