Blue Bottle Coffee — University Place
101 University Pl, New York, NY 10003
Editor's Review
The Blue Bottle design aesthetic – clean lines, bright lighting and modular spaces – tucks surprisingly well into a boxy space at this Greenwich Village refuge. Though tiny, with a small bar and just a few seats along a wall, it somehow feels spacious and uncluttered inside, even though it has all the stuff: Blue Bottle beans, books, brewing gear, and merch.
And, of course, the company’s solid roasts – both the espresso drinks and the pour-over coffee are consistently great, with rotating single-origin coffees and stalwart house roasts providing several options. Like everything else here the prepared-food bin is small but well-stocked, making this a choice spot for both people on the go and those who need to catch their breath.
