Since opening in the heady days of late 2010, Store Street has gone from strength to strength. As well as serving Square Mile coffee they were one of the first cafes to feature regular guest roasters including coffees roast in America and across Europe. Additionally, Store Street have long served batch brewed filter alongside other more time intensive filter options. A commitment to excellence and the employment of a steady string of superb baristas has ensured that a high level of quality across a range of drinks is consistently delivered.

Store Street Espresso is certainly popular with Bloomsbury locals and those who work in the area. The cafe itself is a long room, decorated with exhibited art and lit by a large skylight. It’s an inviting space with great light that encourages one to linger. As well as great coffee, including their own cold brew in summer months, the food here is highly recommended, especially since Pip of Fynch bakery is now baking for them at their Continental Stores offshoot. Indeed, all the food served is prepared at Continental Stores and brought over by cargo bike.

Store Street itself is a fascinating street and well worth a visit. The land is owned by the Duke of Bedford and is carefully managed so that only small independent businesses line the street. The nearby Building Centre, London’s premier architecture and planning exhibition space, is also worth a visit.
