Kaffeine
66 Great Titchfield St, W1W 7QJ
Editor's Review
Opened by Peter Dore-Smith in August 2009, Kaffeine soon built a reputation for excellence in quality and hospitality. Now established as one of the grande dames of the London scene, Kaffeine is hugely popular with Fitzrovia residents, office workers and visitors and fairly bustles with activity day in day out. Early adoptees of Square Mile coffee, a steady succession of excellent baristas have ensured that Kaffeine consistently provides excellent espresso based drinks.
On the weekends Kaffeine serves a variety of guest roasts alongside Red Brick from both British and overseas coffee roasters, often served as a flight of a single espresso with a single milk based drink together with a cascara based palette cleanser. Peter’s attention to detail ensures that everything is served just right (even down to spoon angles!). The consistent and efficient service and warm welcome customers receive are also tantamount to the ethos Peter has created here. Also notable at Kaffeine is the quality of the cooked food, fresh juices and teas.
One of the original Australian-influenced London cafes complete with whitewash, exposed brick and hanging lights, Kaffeine offers a range of seating options and, of course, great coffee.
